Research Topics
Research Topic is an innovative academic concept focusing on the hottest areas in academia, here gathered a variety of current research active areas and issues. You can browse the topics you are interested in and offer new topics for others.
Science Publishing Group Research Topic showcases your research area and contributes to the communication of academic information. If you have a new topic, please download the form and send it to us.
Research Topic #1
Scientific computing
Computational science is a rapidly growing multidisciplinary field that uses advanced computing capabilities to understand and solve complex problems. Computational science fuses three distinct elements:Algorithms,Computer and information science, the computing infrastructure. The field is different from theory and laboratory experiment which are the traditional forms of science and engineering. The scientific computing approach is to gain understanding, mainly through the analysis of mathematical models implemented on computers.
Research Topic #2
Atmospheric sciences
Atmospheric sciences is an umbrella term for the study of the Earth's sciences, its processes, the effects other systems have on the atmosphere, and the effects of the atmosphere on these other systems. Atmospheric science has been extended to the field of planetary science and the study of the atmospheres of the planets of the solar system.
Research Topic #3
Actuarial science
Actuarial science is the discipline that applies mathematical and statistical methods to assess risk in insurance, finance and other industries and professions. Actuarial science includes a number of interrelated subjects, including mathematics, probability theory, statistics, finance, economics, and computer science. Historically, actuarial science used deterministic models in the construction of tables and premiums.
Research Topic #4
Neuroscience
Neuroscience (or neurobiology) is the scientific study of the nervous system. It is a multidisciplinary branch of biology, which deals with the anatomy, biochemistry, molecular biology, and physiology of neurons and neural circuits. Like the other branches of biology it draws upon mathematics, physics and chemistry but unlike the other biological disciplines it also collaborate with fields such as cognitive science, computer science, psychology and linguistics.
Research Topic #5
Biomedical sciences
Biomedical sciences are a set of applied sciences applying portions of natural science or formal science, or both, to develop knowledge, interventions, or technology that are of use in healthcare or public health. Such disciplines as medical microbiology, clinical virology, clinical epidemiology, genetic epidemiology, and biomedical engineering are medical sciences.
Research Topic #6
social sciences
Social science is a major category of academic disciplines, concerned with society and the relationships among individuals within a society. It in turn has many branches, each of which is considered a "social science". The social sciences include economics, political science, human geography, demography, psychology, sociology, anthropology, archaeology, jurisprudence, history, and linguistics. The term is also sometimes used to refer specifically to the field of sociology, the original 'science of society', established in the 19th century.
Research Topic #7
Information science
Information science is an interdisciplinary field primarily concerned with the analysis, collection, classification, manipulation, storage, retrieval, movement, dissemination, and protection of information. Information science should not be confused with information theory or library science. Information theory is the study of the types of communications we use, such as verbal, signal transmission, encoding, and others. Information science as an academic discipline is often taught in combination with Library science as Library and Information Science.
Special Issues
Special Issue is an effective way for researchers to focus on a hot topic for an in-depth study.
